Post Falls 2045: Planning Today for Tomorrow
Take the Community Survey ⟶
The City of Post Falls is updating its Comprehensive Plan, one of the city’s most important guiding documents.
The Plan will be a long-range (20-year) vision by and for the community—establishing goals and policies for nearly everything the City does. It is intimately tied to zoning and other regulations that govern land development throughout the community.
As a “comprehensive” document, it will consider land use, housing, economic development, transportation, public services, and more together, ultimately informing how the city responds to growth over time.
Comprehensive plans are only as good as the community support behind them. This approximately year-and-a-half process will provide several opportunities for the Post Falls community to express values, prioritize goals, and shape a resilient and livable future that is fiscally sound. Please stay tuned for engagement booths at community events (including at the Post Falls Festival!), workshops, public meetings, and online surveys.
The city has contracted with SCJ Alliance Consulting Services to prepare the revised plan and facilitate engagement activities, who will work with city staff, the Planning Commission, City Council, and the broader community to emphasize transparency, broad public engagement, and alignment with state planning requirements.
